The Queen of Hills, Mussoorie

"Mussoorie " This place is enriched by a wide variety of flora and fauna, natural beauty and mesmerizing scenes. The official language is HINDI, GARHWALI.  
Here some important points about Mussoorie :
1. AREA
Mussoorie is one of the most beautiful hill station of our Country. Popularly known as Queen of Hills. It is in the Doon valley. It is a tourism city surrounded by luscious mountains. 

2. TRANSPORT 
 It is almost 32km away form the main city Dehradun. The only means of transportation is by bus or taxi. One can take a bus starts from ISBT or from the Railway Station. Mostly early morning and night rides are preferable. Serpentine bend of roads makes the ride pleasant. The night view of Dehradun from Mussoorie is eyecatching. 
3. CLIMATE
 Here prevails sub-tropical  monsoon climate. It has an average temperature thoughout the year. Heavy rainfall and warmness in summer and some spell of snow in winter.
With moderate conditions of living. 
4.TOURIST ATTRACTION 
 Abundantly rich in tourism. People also visit as it is the gateway to Gangotri. Some of the places are:-
1) Mall Road
2) Gun Hill Point
3) Lal Tibba
4) Company Garden 
5) Kempty falls
6) Sir George Everest's House
7)Dhanaulti
8) Mussoorie Lake

5. OCCUPATION 
 Tourism industry is the main occupation, everyone is involved from any side such as living Hotels,shops etc. 
Commercialization is increased. Literacy rate is also good 89%.


Overall a nice and decent place to visit. with family ,friends and loved ones. One can find peace and quality time with there family.
